Located in the heart of the scenic Kent village of Newington, this 90-unit residential development for Fernham Homes represents a significant civil engineering and groundworks undertaking. Kingsheath Construction was appointed to deliver a comprehensive suite of infrastructure and substructure works, ensuring the site was expertly prepared for the construction of high-quality 2, 3, and 4-bedroom family homes.

The project required a strategic approach to site logistics and community integration, including complex Section 278 and Section 50 works to enhance local highway connectivity. From the initial topsoil strip to the final soft landscaping and external finishes, our team has maintained a commitment to precision, safety, and the high standards expected by Fernham Homes.

Scope of Works

Our delivery on this project encompassed the full lifecycle of groundworks and civil engineering, including:

Infrastructure & Highways:

  • S278 works (off-site highway improvements)
  • S50 works (street works and utility connections)
  • Main estate roads and comprehensive sewer systems
  • Basin construction for sustainable urban drainage (SuDS)
  • Installation of site-wide services and street lighting
