Kingsheath Construction was appointed by Vistry Group to deliver a comprehensive groundworks and infrastructure package for the Martello Lakes development in Hythe. This substantial residential project, valued at £12.5 million, involves the creation of 200 new units and requires a high level of logistical management and technical expertise.

Commencing in January 2025, our team is responsible for the full lifecycle of the groundworks—from initial site preparation and enabling works through to the final soft landscaping. The project highlights our ability to deliver large-scale infrastructure, including complex drainage solutions and foundation systems, while maintaining the strict timelines required for a major multi-unit development.

Scope of Works

Our delivery at Martello Lakes encompasses a wide range of services, including:

Enabling & Infrastructure: Initial vegetation and topsoil strip, followed by the installation of primary roads and sewers.
Services: Full installation of site services and street lighting.
Foundations: Construction of pile mats and attendance, alongside RC Groundbeam and traditional strip foundations.
Sub-structures: Delivery of all sub-structure masonry and floor installations.
Drainage: Implementation of comprehensive domestic drainage systems across the development.
External Works: Construction of screen and retaining walls, and completion of all hardstanding and external finishes.
Landscaping: Completion of all soft landscaping to the project’s specifications.
Logistics: Full management of the site compound and ongoing site logistics to ensure efficient project flow.
