Project Overview:

A large-scale groundworks and infrastructure project for a respected regional housebuilder. Kingsheath Construction was appointed by Abbey New Homes to deliver the full groundworks package for Montagu Place, a new community of 120 homes in Sandwich. The project involved a comprehensive scope of works, including complex drainage solutions and varied foundation types.

Delivering Essential Infrastructure for a New Community

Our team was responsible for executing the entire groundworks phase for this significant residential development. The project's requirements, including the installation of a foul pumping station and mixed foundation designs, demonstrate our technical expertise in handling diverse site challenges.

Key services delivered on this groundworks project included:

  • Mixed Foundation Solutions: Construction of substructures for all 120 units, employing a combination of traditional trench-fill and specialist piled foundations to suit the specific ground conditions across the site.
  • Roads and Sewers: Installation of all private and adoptable roads and drainage networks to serve the new development, built to the standards required for local authority adoption.
  • Foul Pumping Station: Construction and commissioning of a new foul water pumping station, a critical piece of infrastructure required to manage the development's drainage needs.
  • Attenuation and External Works: Implementation of a surface water attenuation system and completion of all hard and soft landscaping, including driveways, footpaths, and garden areas, to deliver a high-quality finish.

This project showcases our capability as a trusted groundworks project partner in Kent, able to deliver complex and large-scale residential schemes for leading housebuilders.
