A comprehensive groundworks and infrastructure project for a bespoke residential developer. Kingsheath Construction was appointed by McCulloch Homes to deliver the complete groundworks solution for Homefield Rise, a modern development consisting of two apartment blocks in Orpington. The project involved a challenging scope, including piled foundations and significant works within the public highway.

Delivering Complex Urban Infrastructure

Our team was tasked with executing the full groundworks package for this apartment scheme, which required careful planning and coordination due to its location and technical requirements. The scope demonstrates our expertise in managing projects with significant public highway interfaces and specialised foundation needs.

Key services delivered on this groundworks project included:

  • Section 278 & Section 50 Works: We successfully managed and executed all required S278 works for alterations to the public highway and S50 works for new sewer connections, ensuring full compliance with local authority standards.
  • Piled Substructures: Construction of piled foundations for both apartment blocks, providing a robust structural solution tailored to the site's specific engineering requirements.
  • Drainage Systems: Installation of both private and adoptable sewer systems to serve the new development.
  • External Works: Completion of all hard and soft landscaping elements, including access roads, parking areas, and communal gardens, to create a high-quality finish for the residential scheme.
